The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Our website can therefore be used without providing any personal data. Contact forms

The general contact forms included on our website generate an email from the data you provide to the appropriate recipient, who uses the information to process your request. Your data will be treated confidentially and will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to deal with your request.

Cookies

Cookie" refers to a small text file that is stored directly on the user’s computer. The content often comprises only a short string of characters that allows our servers to recognise you when you visit again to make it easier to use the website. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, you can switch them off at any time in your browser settings and delete existing cookies. In this case, not all functions of our website may be usable properly.

Google Fonts and Font Awesome

This website uses fonts from Google and Fonctions for a uniform and appealing presentation. In order for these to be displayed, your browser fetches them from the corresponding external servers and transmits the same usage data as if you had clicked on a link. Google itself assures that this data is only used for technical operations and is not linked to your Google account data (https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq). Fonctions also pays close attention to data protection and has set up an extra contact address for the EU and Switzerland (https://fontawesome.com/privacy).

Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin etc.

Although our website contains links to so-called “social media”, no data is transmitted to these services, as we do not use external plugins from social media providers. Only when you click on such a link do you make contact with the service in question by accessing the page. From then on, the terms and conditions of the respective provider apply.

YouTube

On our pages, we have occasionally embedded videos that use the player of the Internet portal YouTube. Displaying the page causes the browser to download the player from YouTube, whereby YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, obtains knowledge about the page accessed and the video accessed - regardless of whether the video is played or not.

Data storage and statistics

As with any connection to a web server, our hosting partner’s server logs and stores certain technical data. This includes the IP address and the operating system of your device, the date and time of access, the type of browser and the page of origin of the request (referrer). This is necessary for technical reasons in order to make our website available to you. Your data is always transmitted in encrypted form (https). Our partner uses various technical and organisational measures to protect the data from unauthorised access and does not pass it on to third parties.

In addition, our entire website is copied to an external server daily for security reasons (off-site backup). These backup copies are stored separately in a safe for a few days. They contain, among other things, the entire database including your personal data, if this has been stored by us. The copies are only accessible to the provider and are only used in an emergency to restore a previous state after a data loss.
